What Is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. Leesburg is a place for families, retirees and those seeking to escape the fast pace of the city. And conveniently enough, it s only a few hours away from big-city Atlanta or the beaches of Florida. 

The population of 3,000 will continue to grow as community projects enhance the quality of living in Leesburg, but the easy tempo of day-to-day life here is certain to remain the same. 

Our mission is to manage and operate safe, cost-efficient and environmentally sound services of the Leesburg Municipal Drinking Water Wells & elevated storage tanks and the Leesburg Water Pollution Control Plant for the benefit of the City of Leesburg. We will promote environmental stewardship as a community value and are committed to protecting and preserving the environment by maintaining and/or surpassing regulatory compliance & standards and educating our public.

The City of Leesburg Public Works Department is dedicated to maintaining and upgrading the City’s Water Distribution, Sewer Collection and Streets. The Public Works ultimate goal is to provide excellent service in a timely manner to our customers.

The City of Leesburg has a part-time position available for a Maintenance Employee. Job Duties include maintenance for City water, sewer & streets. Applications can be picked up at City Hall located at 107 Walnut Ave in Leesburg, GA

In order to obtain a business license, please print the application from our website. Fill it out completely and have it notarized. Return to City Hall with correct license fee, copy of driver's license, and a copy of liability insurance if applicable.

Businesses located outside the city limits will still need to fill out the application and provide a copy of your business license from the city/county where the business is located. Out of area businesses will only be assessed a fee if they do not have a current business license in their own city/county.

If someone visits your home to collect information for the 2020 Census, you can do the following to verify their identity:

First, check to make sure that they have a valid ID badge with their photograph, a U.S. Department of Commerce watermark, and an expiration date.

Accepting Bids for Sanitation Sewer System Rehabilitation. Sealed Bids for the construction of the Sanitary Sewer System Rehabilitation will be received, by the City of Leesburg, at Leesburg City Hall – 107 Walnut Avenue, North, Leesburg, GA 31763, until 10:00 AM local time on May 3, 2021, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

Resolution for Automated Traffic Enforcement Safety Devices in School Zones

In order to obtain a license to sell beer and wine, please print the application from our website. Fill it out completely and have it notarized. If you need the forms notarized, please do not sign forms in advance. Notarized signatures must be witnessed by Notary. Return to City Hall with correct license fee, copy of driver's license, and a copy of liability insurance.

Business owner must obtain a background check from the Lee County Sheriff Dept. The form is included in the application packet. First time applicants must also obtain a fingerprint check.

Retreat to discuss the Cities accomplishments, Infrastructure and the ARPA funds uses. Retreat will be held on February 12, 2022 starting at 09:00am at the Train Depot in downtown Leesburg.

The City of Leesburg is looking for someone to temporarily clean the City Buildings. The job is part time and the end date is yet to be determined. Cleaning must be performed during office hours (Monday through Friday 8am-5pm). For more information please contact Cathy Daniels at 229-759-6465.

The City of Leesburg IS NOW cutting water off at 30 days past due.

IF your water is cut off, you must pay the total past due plus the $75.00 to have your services reconnected.

Stormwater management within the City of Leesburg is governed by a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) permit issued by the State of Georgia Environmental Protecting Division (EPD).
