Alcohol License

In order to obtain a license to sell beer and wine, please print the application from our website. Fill it out completely and have it notarized. If you need the forms notarized, please do not sign forms in advance. Notarized signatures must be witnessed by Notary. Return to City Hall with correct license fee, copy of driver's license, and a copy of liability insurance.

Business owner must obtain a background check from the Lee County Sheriff Dept. The form is included in the application packet. First time applicants must also obtain a fingerprint check.

An application must also be filed with the Georgia Department of Revenue Alcohol Unit to obtain a State Alcoholic Beverage License. Fees may also be paid online once your account is set up or processed for renewal. 

If mailing, please send check, application, and required documentation to City of Leesburg P O Box 890 Leesburg Ga 31763. Licenses will be mailed to the address on the application.

** Please note that all licenses expire December 31 of every year. Renewal notices will be sent out in November. Businesses must renew by January 15th in order to avoid $50.00 late fee.
